Interactive animal experiences for the whole family

Explore the zoo at your leisure from 3pm.

At 3:45pm you will meet your zookeeper at the entrance to the education room, where you will be welcomed inside for a quick welcome chat and description of the session rules.

The zookeeper will then introduce you to a variety of our smaller, friendly animals for an up-close experience with plenty of fun facts about the species. The animals will include a selection such as a bearded dragon, Egyptian tortoise, crested gecko, African millipede, Madagascar hissing cockroach, corn snake and giant African land snails.

After your animal encounter, you can continue to explore the zoo until closing time at 5pm.

  • Children aged 2-15yrs must be accompanied and supervised by a full paying adult
  • The free Carer’s ticket is available for those who are accompanying the paying concession that they care for, and will be asked to provide carer ID on check-in
  • Please be aware that a small online booking fee will be added to your final purchase price
